It is literally some of the most blatant corporate brainwashing I've ever seen. Every four or five pages is just an activity that tells you to both "practice" whatever little bare minimum thing they do to not exploit people in poorer countries that grow their coffee, and then to write about it to yourself in a journal. I'm doing this because I love my job and want the black apron, but dear God it's hard to read this stuff with a straight face.

I just started coffee masters too and we were thinking the same thing. It al sounds good and dandy but idk how much I really believe their good treatment of farmers and “transparency”, we got a huge climate talk and we don’t even have mandated recycling/composting of grounds in my area. It can come off very propaganda-y but I also want a black apron and expand my coffee knowledge too. I wasn’t expecting it to be all corporate info and not actual coffee training and appreciation???
