The other day I had two customers come up to me while I was on lobby bar and ask why their BSOSE said “blonde” on it, what were we “putting in their drink”… I told them that that’s the type of espresso the drink comes with as compared to our signature espresso.. they then argued that they order this drink all the time and it never has said blonde on the label… I explained this drink has always been made with blonde espresso, and it is a different “sweeter” roast (and imo tastes better) than signature beans and then they tried to accuse me of trying to add sugar to their drink! I wasn’t even on register! I said it doesn’t have any sugar.. I realize now sweeter wasn’t the best words? Less bitter might have been better?

But seriously, what happened to these girls to get mad their cup said “Blonde” on it?!?! And iirc the labels have always said blonde when a drink calls for blonde espresso, standard or not 😂

has this happened to anyone else?? How do you explain blonde? I’ll never say “sweeter” again 🪦
