Should o go to ethics if my manager is cursing at me/constantly belittling the team? She talks about supporting us but today was an especially rough day. My whole team was working their butts off with call outs and no mobile shut off. I stayed an hour+ late and didn’t take any breaks (I know I’m supposed to but if everyone else is gonna get theirs it’s unrealistic.) so I could get everything done Her closer calls out and suddenly I’m the issue and morning never does anything? Confused. First day I’ve went home sobbing from a manager

Either that or go directly to your DM. That may result in a faster response depending on your DM. We all go through shit, but you can’t curse at your team. Besides just being a horrible thing to do in general, it breaks sbux rules. I’m sorry you had to deal with this, best of luck.

If she ever does it in earshot of customers (or potential earshot of customers) I would call corporate AS a customer and make a complaint that way
Corporate tends to act very quickly on customer complaints of cursing, and it’s an immediately fireable offense

WHOOOOAA dude everyone getting breaks is unrealistic? No. That is NOT okay and idk who’s blowing smoke about not taking breaks but you NEED to take your 10s and 30s, legally. I have NEVER heard of that before and I’ve worked a couple stores. Whoever’s cultivating a break free environment is gonna be in big trouble. Also yes. Take that (and the lack of breaks!!) to ethics asap. She needs a reality check, you’re the reason she’s gonna get a bonus this fall. Also it’s just coffee. Sometimes not everything gets finished. That’s on her for not having a full enough floor to accommodate callouts. I’m sorry you have an awful manager but you need to get her in check because it’ll only get worse :( I hope you have a better day tomorrow!

It’s jsut been so hard because I got promoted a couple months ago and only got 1 day of training. If I take my breaks and things aren’t done I get screamed at and while she doesn’t actively encourage me not taking my breaks, on days like today she would have questioned it. I don’t even know, I’m just so frustrated because I do everything I can but it’s never enough. This is more of a rant than anything but I’m just struggling

Absolutely report them! The cursing, the lack of breaks, creating this hostile environment oh no no no noooo. I’m so sorry you have to go through all that. Please report this and take care of yourself because no job is worth feeling unsafe and your mental health deteriorating
