When I worked for the bucks it was like a few years back pre-pandemic before tiktok REALLY blew up. We had these tiktokers come through during peak and say “make us literally any custom drink dealers choice it’s for a tiktok”, but they were being kind of rude through the speaker when we asked for clarifications One of my extra begrudged coworkers made some random drinks and they paid and drove off. I asked what he put in it and he said he didn’t even know just like 7 random syrups and lemonade and espresso or something. I kind of felt bad afterwards but they never came back to our store being annoying lmao

My store had someone come through the drive thru asking for a jack-o-lantern. When we told her it wasn’t an official drink she got an attitude and was said that literally every location she’s ever gone to has it on their menus. After explaining we needed the build for it and we could make it no problem she gave a base drink and said to add jack blended in and drizzle. Like what is jack?!

I personally dgaf what people order just come with the damn recipe! Don’t just walk up and order a “pink sauce Frappuccino” like tf is that?
Also please actually tell me the recipe or have it written down. Don’t shove a screenshot of a TikTok comment in my face. I have poor vision and I hate having to lean in and read it.

Some lady came in recently talking about a special drink she saw on Tic Tac but seemed to know nothing about what it was or what it was called and didn’t have the Tic Tac recipe in front of her. She made an effort to scroll the Tacs on her phone for a few seconds. I’m thinking like, what is she hoping I’ll do? Magically understand what special drink is trending? I don’t even use Tic Tac, thank god. I told her if she knew the components, we would make the drink. She just ordered a White Mocha Frapp, as is. Like, why waste my time telling me she uses an app?

I will jump through hoops for a kid though on their birthday. One 10 year girl came in last year and all she wanted was a Starbucks Unicorn Rainbow frapp for her special day and had a SB gift card to buy whatever she wanted, minus her birthday drink. One of the baristas layered a frapp made with colors using the freeze dried fruits and we hooked this birthday girl up!!!! I was so happy. She was so happy.

had a customer order a "Squid Game Frappucino" like... Two months ago. She got mad at me for not knowing what that was and then pulled up a grainy picture she got from facebook on her phone. It truly is awful but it's also kinda hilarious

Someone screamed through the drive through if we had an under the sea refresher. I gently explained all secret menu or tiktok drinks they find need to come with recipes. Mom was understanding, even told the kid I told you so. The kid was less than happy however

The pink sauce frap just made me think of the “pink slime” McDonald’s makes their nuggets from. What a cool name for a drink 🤪

i used to have a bunch of customers come in and order the "Under the Sea" frapp. I don't use tiktok so i never heard of it, but my coworker came over and said that they saw it on tiktok and that the drink literally contains UrnX, aka, what we use to CLEAN THE URNS. Someone made that drink jokingly on tiktok but i've had so many people try to order it. like dude do you seriously want me to charge you $10 for a drink that'll make you have explosive diarrhea and possibly kill you? this lady one time tried to order it for her daughter and told her (in a nice way of course) that if she wants to murder her daughter, sure i can make it for them.

Had someone ask for the peanut butter frap and when I told him we'd need to know how to make it he went "so you fill the cup to the bottom line with milk and then..."

Not really influencers but literally people who aren’t nice about us asking about the drink or being entitled to their parents or grandparents about it & not explaining. One time a grandfather came in & his grandson wanted a drink his grandson called “The TikTok Drink” and I am like…what? I was so confused as I know TikTok has so many custom drinks that it’s hard to keep track & the poor man had no clue what his grandson meant so I took a guess on the sweet cream cold foam pink drink as that was super popular at the time & I was like “if he complains to you tell him that he didn’t give you the specific recipe which means we have to guess which TikTok drink. Sir, it is not your fault for not knowing because not a lot of people give us the exact recipe which leads us to make what we know is popular at our store & confusion ensues.” Found out later it was an iced white mocha with light ice, sweet cream cold foam, and extra caramel drizzle that is called “The TikTok Drink” but also some other people have ordered TikTok drinks & I read the one I know out & they’re like “no! This TikTok drink” like I’m dumb for not knowing.
