Adequate staffing is number 1. Then more staffing. And finally even more staffing!
Sbux isn’t unique in its use of a bullshit labor algorithm to determine how many hours stores “get” but given how much they demand from the average barista they might be the most brutal about lean staffing. Corporate really expects one barista and one shift to cover the last eight hours of my 6k a day store. And i know other stores have it even worse.

A stagger/slow mode function on mop. Only X amount of orders allowed per minute at certain hours of the day. If the system overloads perhaps a message along the lines of
*"currenty we are experiencing an unexpectedly high volume of orders. To ensure quality beverages and appropriate prep times please try again in X minutes or visit us in store (or dt)! Thank you for your patience and we look forward to serving you"*

Bring back covid pay, hire more staff, no labor hours bs, sick and vacation pay should accumulate at least 2x faster, give us a living wage at least, put a limit on customizations, allowed to turn mobiles off without getting approval, MORE HANDS ON TRAINING. If we could get rid of half our drinks / sauces and go back to just the og stuff I would. Promote from within, having sms, asms and shifts who don’t know what they’re doing is so overwhelming. I could go on forever but I won’t.
