submitted by ConsistentAside4203
im so genuinely tired of being schedule 5 hour work weeks, (and none at all for holiday launch). and im on the verge of quitting. ive asked of more hours, and havent gotten a single extra hour. it feels like they want me to quit.

With the newer rules your supposed to be scheduled at least 12. I remember this because it happened right when I got a job in my career, but didn’t want to quit completely and my SM was going to scheduled me for just one baby shift a week, but then had to switch it because of that rule. I might even report them to ethics and compliance if they don’t fix the problem

(This is at least the case for corporate US stores.) Your manager is now required to schedule you a minimum of 12 hours per week, as an average across each quarter. If your availability does not allow that, they need to speak to you about those limitations. If you’ve already asked for more hours, go to your DM. It is unlikely (because it would be a foolish move) but possible that they are trying to keep you below that so that they can let you go for being below that at the end of the quarter. No matter the case, go to your DM.

I’m assuming you have relatively open availability and no corrective actions? If so then see if you can transfer to a different store that can provide you with more hours.

Are you able to pick anything up on shift marketplace while that happens to help with right now?

Tell them you need to apply for benefits (true or not) that's 20 hrs a week. If they still don't give you that then you know your manager is an ass
