I’m a new employee and I don’t know if I hate it or if I just need to practice (self.starbucksbaristas)

I just finished my training last week in a different store, now that I’m in my actual store, I’m worried that I hate the job. I’m not sure if it’s just because I don’t really know how to make any drinks yet and I’m just being put on support and ovens, but I’m also terrified of being put on bar. I have all my cheat sheets but I’m still worried about sequencing and just being on bar in general. Is there any way I can practice with low stakes just to work on recipes?

Bar is actually pretty easy. You don’t have to even press the shots, it’s all buttons for single, double or triple shots, and steaming the milk becomes second nature after a few times, it also automatically stops steaming so you don’t have to worry about overdoing it. In comparison to other coffee machines in coffee shops Starbucks ones are the easiest you could have. After a few times of doing each drink it really will become muscle memory.

I personally just quit but I know people who love it, so just feel it out and you will know if it’s right for you soon enough. Bar is the last thing you’re usually put on but if you want to get a heads start keep revising over the cheat sheets for each drink and watching some yt videos on it may help also. You’ll be fine on bar trust me :)
