With complicated feelings. On the one hand, I love the job of barista. I love making lattes and flat whites. I love the camaraderie when partners get each other and their patterns and flow around each other like water. I. Love. Goofin. One time me and all the partners on the floor crouched down and walked around like crabs.

Starbucks is a corporation. It doesn't care about you. I've known people whose bodies have been ruined over the demands of this job. Don't sacrifice yourself for a corporation.
( One positive thing is since covid, people can call out without being guilted or pressur3d into coming in or being responsible for finding someone to cover your shift. )
Anyway. I'll miss it and I won't.
Eff u, corporations. Eff u, siren.
All fast food workers in the same area should go on strike for better benefits.
Sorry to my McDonalds, taco bell, KFC, etc friends who didn't even have what I had at the siren.

Former 288 here. I left earlier this year. Congrats bestie! I was battling an unknown health issue and some deep depression and trying to get the motivation to get up in the morning. I left for another job that I ended up getting let go from. Also went thru some crazy family drama that unfortunately I'm still dealing with. But I now have a diagnosis and the time to get my physical health back on track as well as work on my inner self. I hope you find your peace because with the Siren ain't it. There's plenty out there to choose from and I'm sure you'll find something that you're passionate about. That's what I'm looking for now. You got this. I'm proud of you. Sending a big hug. You're amazing don't ever forget that.
