Trenta Policy (where to look for documented policy) (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Kivic
Hey guys!

I’m trying to find written proof that Trenta cups cannot be used for iced espresso drinks.

My DM recently got a complaint that my store will not do it for the customers and has since said we are suppose to do it no matter what. Can anyone point me in the right direction where to find where it says not to put drinks in Trenta cups when we cannot charge appropriately for them?

Thanks for the help in advance.

It’s in the Beverage Resource Manual under cup standards. You can find it in the partner hub.

“Iced Trenta cup standard
Only the following beverages are offered in an Iced Trenta cup:

Shaken Iced Tea and Shaken Iced Tea Lemonade

Iced Coffee, including Iced Coffee w/ Milk, Starbucks

Cold Brew and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew

Starbucks® Refreshers™

Water and ice (if requested)

We offer Iced Trenta cups to accommodate customer requests for refreshing beverages like iced tea and iced coffee in a larger size. At the same time, we strive to be a responsible company with regard to health and wellness of our customers, which is why we don't offer our more indulgent beverages in this size.”

Also. I don't know if yours does this. But the registers, literally won't let you ring in any espresso drinks in Trento cups
Kivic [OP] 4 points 8m ago
Yeah ours absolutely won’t let us do it. He still insists that we must do it.

That's so weird, our registers say we can't do it

You can find it in the beverage manual. If it’s a drink that you can buy in a trenta, then it can go in a trenta.

I’m looking for more of a “absolutely cannot go in a Trenta” type of wording. My DM says he didn’t know that was a policy.

Isn’t it funny when these people somehow become district managers, yet they don’t know the goddam policies? I feel like if anything he should be the one double checking the policy on this because he should already know.

How the hell did he get prompted to DM??

you can’t even ring them up and i’d think that would be enough proof

You’ve had your question answered but the one exception we make is if it’s just iced espresso and they want it in a trenta
