Is dental covered under sick policy? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Affectionate_Fart
So my temp crown fell off tonight and it won’t go back on and I open tomorrow. can I call in sick and not get in trouble?

I’d just tell them you’re vomiting tbh

just tell them you have an emergency appointment. they don’t need to know details really

Yeah, call in sick but don't give details. From hhs.gov:

Your employer can ask you for a doctor's note or other health information if they need the information for sick leave, workers' compensation, wellness programs, or health insurance

An emergency appointment doesn't require details, if your manager presses you on it direct them to the website.

And remember, your health (even dental health) is always more important than making Frappuccinos. ❤️

I’m just gonna knockout early when the other shift gets there (we’re over staffed so I’m not gonna feel bad).

Just say you’re sick and that’s it. They don’t need to know details.
