Is SM allowed to make us work on the floor when we are scheduled for a non-coverage shift?()

I’ve never heard of such a rule; in fact, a lot of SMs use noncoverage for extra coverage (eg, your store hasn’t “earned” enough labor but they know they need to schedule another person on the floor)

i see, thanks. Im newish so I wasn’t sure what the difference between coverage and non-coverage actually is.
