Hi! So I'm a Canadian partner and I read that all partners are required to work 1 of 4 holidays so I'm wondering if anyone can enlighten me on what they are?
I'm assuming two of them are Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. What are the others?
I meant to ask my coworkers but I don't work today and I want to get my holidays sorted.
Thanks!

Thank you! Should I let my SM know my preferred day to work ahead of time, then schedule my holiday?

My SM put a sign up sheet containing four of those, and a separate voluntary sheet for Christmas Day. On the four day sheet we were asked preference of what days to work. They said they are trying to schedule everyone for two holidays and Christmas is completely voluntary and we will only open if enough sign up. Not sure how your store is running it!

That sounds like a really nice system. So far my SM only has the sign up sheet for Christmas day up, so I'm not sure how we're going about it for the other days and there's only one person who signed up so far though, so I'm thinking store will close. I'll have to ask them about all this tomorrow if they come in.

i’m not sure how it is in canada, but for us in the US, we sign up to work thanksgiving, christmas day and eve, new year’s day and eve. since canadian thanksgiving has already passed, maybe it’s christmas and new years for you?

That's what I'm assuming but I just wanted to be 100% sure. And I'm not sure if Thanksgiving counts. SM didn't really say anything about it, and I did work Thanksgiving day so it's possible that it counts as my "one holiday" ?

it’s possible, i would definitely check with your SM about it

This just reminded me to schedule the 2 weeks off I need for Christmas break 🫢 I hope my store won’t enforce this bc I also have thanksgiving off

That's what's prompted me to ask this! Lol. This is my first holidays with Starbucks so I just wanna make sure I have enough time off and that I don't get scheduled when I don't want to work.

So Canadian I’m not too sure. Do you guys celebrate Thanksgiving? If so that may be one. The other might be New Years Eve/New Years, and then I figure Christmas/maybe Christmas Eve. I don’t know really what the big holidays for you all might be, but I know those are the holidays for my store.
