Ok ok, I know this sounds pretty straightforward, but my town just got a sbux in our Smiths (Kroger) and I was shopping there late one night, after the sbux was closed, and they just had the lemonade in pitchers on the back counter... I know refreshers are ok (for whatever reason) but lemonade? I just found it pretty disturbing and gross and literally never wanna go there now even though it just opened....

Lemonade can be stored on the counter during operating hours but must be refrigerated afterwards. This was changed last Winter or during Summer IIRC.

as long as it’s properly covered, it doesn’t need to be refrigerated. lemonade can last for 48 hours once it’s prepared, unrefrigerated.
They changed that when they introduced ambient temp refresher bases earlier this year

There was an update earlier this year it can sit ambient over night even after it is prepped

You sure it wasn’t the pineapple refresher?
bigmacqween1 points8m ago
When did they create pineapple refresher?

Back in June

Our store a few months ago switched to leaving all refreshers and lemonade to be stored at room temperature. We were told that they no longer needed to be refrigerated. We even have a couple new shelves to store them all instead of the fridge we used to use for them

2L lemonades can be stored on the counter, any refreshers are not currently allowed to sit out though!! I’m pretty surprised that not all the stores are following this standard though??

Lemonade can be left out during store hours but must be refrigerated when closed.

i think it depends on the lemonade used some have to be refrigerated while others do not

I'm betting it was just a simple mistake. Especially when a kiosk just ipens they're still getting used to things and getting reliable staff. Every now and them the experienced baristas at my kiosk forget to put the lemonade in the fridge again. It happens, people make mistakes. The next day crew will properly take care of it
