You are totally justified and did the right thing.

I'm a shift. And I have really bad days, personally speaking. I admit, it has affected me at work. But I never take it out on my partners. Typically, I just am more quiet and a bit sulky. But I always treat my partners and customers with respect. So I might be less talkative than usual, but I will never yell at or otherwise berate my partners. Even when my depression isn't attacking, I don't like reprimanding anyone. I coach, I guide, I lead. But I will only reprimand when absolutely necessary.

I know everyone deals with their issues differently, and I know that we can have slip ups. But your SM should have been more reassuring, there should have been a follow up, and the shift should have genuinely apologized.

tbh i would do it

especially if your manager isn’t doing much. just make sure y’all start documenting these kind of interactions so you have accountability.
