Okay so on its own we all know the chocolate pistachio pastry is flavorless but if you throw a little mocha and caramel drizzle on it it's really good!! (baristas only, we cannot sell the pastry this way fyi @customers who may see this)(i.redd.it)

Bro when I first came into work yesterday I legitimately thought it was a cinnamon roll without the frosting on it 🤣🤣

I've had coworkers that put cinnamon powder on cheese danishes and vanilla beans on brownies in oatmeal cups but I had yet to see mocha or caramel drizzle on food

i've heard that the spiced apple drizzle is good on cheese danishes but i haven't tried it yet. and i occasionally put caramel drizzle on the chocolate chip cookies when they're on the dry side.
tbh our caramel drizzle is really good and is the perfect topping for stuff. I mostly only added the mocha drizzle bc the pastry is supposed to have chocolate but it's so muted in flavor i hoped it would bring it out

Yeah it's all bread. I wish it was like a chocolate swirl bread loaf or something

honestly?? i think it tastes like of those dinner rolls. like not bad. just... dull

My take 100%. It's not gross. But it's just not good.

I have a barista that puts caramel drizzle and cinnamon dolce topping on the cheese danish. I haven’t tried it because I’m lactose intolerant but all the other baristas say it’s good!

Wait, for real? No one has put whip cream and caramel and/or mocha on a brownie at your store???

Warmed pumpkin loaf with light whipped cream and Carmel. Thank me later.

I always put mocha drizzle on cheese danishes. Another coworker does caramel drizzle

my partners have definitely put caramel drizzle and cinnamon on cookies AND brownies before, and it’s delicious!!! you should try it!!

Had a partner yesterday put white mocha on it and it made it like 10 times better.
Still dry though
croissantboyy [OP]3 points8m ago

When we had morning buns still, a little caramel drizzle and you popped in the oven for a short amount of time and it was positively scrumptious.
When we still had the italian roast drizzle from the Cafe Esp Frappuccino variant we had one year, we used to put the italian roast drizzle on the iced lemon poundcake, that was life.

Everyone I know says the lemon poundcake and coffee mixture tastes horrible but it’s my fave. It’s such a good combo

I was thinking of ways to elevate this less than subpar pastry!

Honestly drizzles on pastries is such a goated move. I love doing the apple drizzle on a cheese danish
alexadegrange2 points8m ago
Maybe cut a slice in the middle and out a little butter in there and then whatever drizzle? Might make it less bland
Nraveles111 points8m ago
I actually love the pastry on its own. Super subtle but I taste a lot of the cocoa and the pistachios. Plus the actual bread IS SO SOFT. Kinda obsessed ngl
