Do partners get free drinks at other locations? I didn’t think you did, but someone gave me a free drink last week ()

You got blessed

I don’t believe a partner should ever pay for a drink so, regardless of policy, I don’t charge partners.
ItzBoogieMan 54 points 8m ago
I thought the same. This is a billion dollar corporation, they can literally suck my balls.
W0lf_2020 25 points 8m ago
Do not do this! This can get not only you but the partner you did it for fired as well!! Just happened to a girl at my store
Sahalio 11 points 8m ago
Even better, we can finally get fired from a coffee store for getting free drinks as we work there!!!!! Hahahaha
Quinah12 1 points 8m ago
Just don’t get caught and/or don’t do it in front of the manager/ shift lead

drink policy is: 30 minutes before/after shift and during shift you get unlimited drinks as long as you finish them all before getting the next one. if you work a shift at another store you get the same benefits. but if you go on your off day then you get 30% discount.
Gabe13456 30 points 8m ago
No, you shouldn’t be using your markout at other stores. Basically, just make sure to pay attention when the fellow partner gives your total. If it seems bizarre and too low, ask if they used a markout. Some places don’t follow the policy correctly, and you’ll need to ask for them to just use the discount.

If your manager/DM pays attention to that stuff, you could get in trouble for using markouts inappropriately, even if the other partner automatically does it, because you’re responsible for tracking your own markouts.

Obviously if they did it and you didn’t realize, it’s no biggie. But if a pattern emerges, questions may pop up.

If it’s a drink mark outs aren’t limited
Gabe13456 -17 points 8m ago
Drink markout policy is: 30 min before a shift you can get one drink free. During shift, as many as you want. After shift, you can take one drink with you. This can only happen at your store, and in conjunction with your shifts, not at other stores, and not not on your off days.

Edited to stop the downvotes 😂

Isn’t it 30 minutes before and after?
Gabe13456 2 points 8m ago
Maybe that’s why I’m being downvoted 😂 it’s 15 or 30, I wasn’t sure. But, the crux of the comment is true even if some people abuse it, misuse it, or don’t know it. Reddit is a funny place!

The barista might’ve just not put in a mark out then, so either way OP shouldn’t be affected. Unless it was a food mark out personally I wouldn’t be concerned if a partner gave me a free drink. Maybe they put it under their own?
RyusuiJL 6 points 8m ago
You can't use your own numbers for markouts/discounts on your register. The system prohibits you.
Flowerfuls 3 points 8m ago
If it happens too much or you have a stickler for an SM you can get in trouble. Best not to risk it.
RyusuiJL 1 points 8m ago
I have no idea why you're getting down voted. You're stating correct policy. Except that it's one each up to a half hour before and after your shift. Not 15 min.
Gabe13456 1 points 8m ago
Haha it’s okay. I’d assume it’s because of the time issue, but oh well!

If the company is fine with us remaking drinks for customers who make up a huge story to get a free drink (the whole “can’t refuse a customer” policy) then I think when a partner comes into the store, especially if they have a few drinks in the order, I’ll use my own markout to give them their drink for free. It’s just coffee at the end of the day and that partner most likely works hard and deserves a break from time to time. Plus it’s just nice.

Someone please tell me what the food policy is right now. Just had a partner (from another store) get his food mark out (3 of them) at my store
Garrickrelentless 3 points 8m ago
No. But people do it all the time. I personally dislike it because it makes me feel too nervous to ask for a remake if they screw the drink up. 🥹
