Worker’s Comp (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Patient_Squirrel_203
I ended up injuring myself at work and it was a real pain going through worker’s comp and being told where to go (only to get denied for some bs) and I ended up getting a doctor’s note of being off work for a month. I just started noticing today that my manager is deleting some shifts that I was scheduled for, but unable to go because of my injury. Is she supposed to be deleting those because I’m unsure if I’m getting paid because it’s worker’s comp or if regardless of her deleting them, will I still get paid the average hours I work?

If your shifts are disappearing in the app, that’s likely because your SM is reworking the schedule to cover your absence. This shouldn’t affect anything you would be paid for by workers compensation.

I’m a little confused where you say you were denied workers comp? But you’re still worried about getting paid from it?

What? Totally lost. It's very hard to get workman's comp more often they give very strict restrictions. Your hours can not be taken away for this. Try calling pcc for clarification. Workman's comp is It's own independent insurance company
