he said “take the time to read this when you can” and didn’t even look me in the eyes. he drove off so fast, i wish he could’ve watched me shred it up in front of him

Someone did that with the EXACT same words when I was on front one day. I handed him his coffee and he handed me that. Tbh I didn’t say anything because I was kind of taken aback.

Omg I was literally just talking to another friend about my experience with having this happen in DT

We have someone who regularly puts little business cards advertising a church in the area into the tip jar. But never actually tip.

Wow talk about adding salt to the wound 😒

It happened to me. I got handed the New Testament and I didn’t know what we were allowed to do so I took it and kept going. I asked my shift later what should I do and she was like throw it away and next time you need to tell them we aren’t allowed to take them. I was like, perfect.

But honestly, I’m fine if you’re religious. But don’t impress it on people at their work who literally cannot leave the situation. It feels like they’re taking advantage of us being stuck. Or the people who aggressively hit on baristas. Also disgusting

I used to work at in the custom framing department of an arts and crafts store before my starbucks job and there was this guy that came in to buy some already made frames but they were wooden for kids to decorate and what not. There was a specific name for them. Anyway he said he needed a certain amount of it for a youth church group thing and the entire interaction....he kept quoting bible verses. Then gave me a pamphlet before he left 😐

once, a pastor handed me a card for his church at the window. i took it from his hand and placed it in the trash all in one movement. i just kept working like nothing happened. he didn't say another word lol

Reminds me of when a couple months ago when I was still new to the register, someone gave me a dollar bill that said “let’s go Brandon” on it

I had this happen. A lady handed me a pamphlet and I flat out told her we can't accept this and handed it back to her and shut the window lol.

I honestly want to tell customers like this “I’m sorry but I don’t support THAT lifestyle”

We had someone give us a one star review a few days ago because they didn't like the pride flag in our store lol.
