How to request for a transfer?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by MemesandSpeech
I'm sick and tired of the night crew not restocking milk's, inclusion, syrups, etc. and leaving us openers in a BAD SPOT.! I told the shift in charge, and he looked at me nonchalant like **"it's not his problem"** (Keep in mind he was one of the closers yesterday.)
I'm also getting irritated that my manager might hire 2 more barista's when there's **already 14! (More hires, more cut hours! I'm scavenging 16!)**
Lastly, I'm sick of favoritism / friendlies. I should not be grabbing milks while also emptying my own trash, doing cafe, mobile & delivery drinks often by myself while other partners be on their phone or refuse to assist just cause.
With that being said **(AND MORE)** how can I transfer out of my store and how long will it take?

yea if i’m reading the correctly some guy pulled a clopen and OP is upset simple stuff isn’t done??? i used to work at a liscensed store on top of my corporate store and could open the entire store by myself, no matter the spot the closers left me in. 15 minutes too.

I lost braincells reading this - you have to be insufferable.
>I'm sick and tired of this night crew not restocking milk's, inclusion, syrups, etc.
\-Those all literally take 5 minutes to do altogether, and since you're opening, you literally have an hour maybe 2 of downtime. Like have you ever even closed before? Its 10x harder than opening. Closers have 10x more tasks, while also getting steady flows of customers.
>I'm also getting irritated that my manager might hire 2 more barista's when there's already 14
\-This literally isnt a problem.
>I should not be grabbing milks while also emptying my own trash, doing cafe. mobile & delivery drinks
\-Just quit. One bar covers all of these - were you hired yesterday? And GOD forbid you need to empty your own trash. Jesus fucking christ you're entitled.

Sounds like you should maybe find another job friend

i'm gonna be real with you, it's not gonna change. every single store is like this to an extent and i've worked at plenty as a borrowed partner or my own store(s). i'd suggest finding a new job if you're not attached to any benefits like healthcare/ASU

Literally openers have so much time on their hands. Get the stuff that wasn’t done and document in my daily. Not that hard.

corporate caused these issues and has no intent on fixing them. taking it out on your ssv personally only damages that relationship. quit or get over it, honestly. no amount of transferring will make this grievance disappear.

When I transferred I had to print the transfer form( which I think you don’t have to do at the store) I filled it out and called other stores to make sure they have availability to accept u. Once you do that and filled out your part of the form give it to your manager and it then gets signed by the district manager and your current store manager. After that your new manger signs off and then you start at the new store. So technically it takes how ever long it takes for your district manager and other mangers to sign off on it.

so i’m not completely sure on the whole process, but i believe you can call the store ur wanting to transfer to, talk to their store manager, but you also need your store manager first to complete the process as well i believe signing off on your ability to do so.
