I always let the tears run when I feel them coming. I hope they look at themselves and realize how horrible they are being over coffee.

worked at a financial aid department and cried on the phone to someone blatantly yelling at me about being wrong while i was very correct… needless to say my higher ups couldn’t get through to her either.. so embarrassing for that person bless her

I did this once. Our cafe was closed but drive thru was open and I had just pulled up on my bike (I'm not even clocked in yet, let alone in the building) and this lady spots my apron under my arm and starts in on me about "how am I supposed to get my mobile order? I'm not waiting in that long drive thru line" and it was already a rough day for me (the type of morning where nothing goes right and we had just put my cat down the week before and I was still very upset) and I felt the tears... And she just kept going so I let them flow. Well wouldn't you know they second I started to perform my little water show she's suddenly calling me sweetie and saying she's so sorry and trying to touch my arm. I flinched into the locked door and my manager finally saw what was going on and rescued me.
