It would be smart to disclose anyway. If your SM finds out you were hiding it from them, they will probably be less likely to be understanding/accommodating about it. I would recommend always disclosing, but as long as you have the same rank it’s technically allowed. However, depending on your SM, and how you behave at work when together, they may talk to you about scheduling the two of you for opposite shifts.
