Coffee masters: how long did you work for the company before becoming one? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by PrestigiousLong3023
Just curious! I haven’t been working here very long, but I plan to stay here for a pretty long time. I really like my store and coworkers, and I love learning, so I think becoming a coffee master would be really cool (and useful)!

I’ve heard you need to work for the company for at least a year before you can even be considered to be a coffee master. I’m just wondering, like the title says, how long did you work for the company before you became one?

I worked for about 15 months before getting mine, took about 3 weeks to get it, and quit a month after I got it.

I didnt do it to look good on my resume for a better job, but it did end up having that benefit in the end.

How did putting it on your resume benefit you? Asking to see if I should add it to mine as I’m looking for a new job.

It allowed me a neat little addition that I put under my "rewards and certifications" section, which employers will lose their minds over. It doesn't have to be related to your next job because it "implies" that you did incredibly well at your previous job (and will be an even more difficult person to pass up.)

TLDR: Leverage.
