i feel like the people who order at the cafe reg are always so quiet and snippy. refuse to speak up, get annoyed when i ask them to repeat their names, constantly just start jamming their card in the reader before i click on it.
drive thru reg, most are ordering loudly and somewhat clearly, always ok repeating something, decently respectful.

i absolutely hate taking orders on pos because i’m so used to being able to make faces or have silent reactions while taking orders in drive thru😭 people definitely seem more impatient in cafe than drive thru

I have like... a whole catalogue of motions I do on drive that I didn't realize until the other day when one of my coworkers pointed it out lol Thankfully I don't do them on R1.
I think cafe customers are impatient because they can see us making drinks and don't understand why it isn't instant. They dont understand that mobile/ delivery and cafe all come out of the same printer. Drive people can't and know that their car is in an order, and skipping the line isn't possible.
I always blame me needing them to repeat on noises outside. Especially the sirens. My store is near a fire station, hospital and a busy accident prone intersection so there's plenty.
