maybe they were cleaning it and it wasn’t up for use in the morning yet? or they ran out of cold brew and it wouldn’t pull until later

It's probably on its cleaning cycle in the mornings, it can't be used while it's being cleaned.

That is in fact weird to me. All of the nitro systems I’ve worked with at Starbucks only require disruptive cleaning once a week.

That being said, some stores may use different machines than I’ve seen. I’ve noticed that Starbucks doesn’t have one standard nitro machine (I’ve seen three models) and others may have different cleaning needs.

Ours breaks frequently because it is very finicky and different kegs allow nitro to work vs not. I have been able to get it to work but it’s a hassle and doesn’t always work. So, not everyone is willing to go through the effort to fix it unfortunately. Plus, not everyone is aware that is wasn’t working in the morning. Our store lacks communication so that isn’t always passed down
