Little bit of extra info- Today my ssv was talking down at me nearly all day, so much that another barista took notice.
Now for what happened:
In the middle of my shift we noticed a steam wand and the chrome top were loose, and the chrome was getting a quite warm. I raised my concern of pressurized steam and loose parts not being a good combination, and it would be a good idea to wait until it's fixed to use it anymore. My reasoning was that I didn't know what could be loose or causing the problems it was having (sputtering intermittently the last few days), and that if it had something to do with any pressure seals, it may blow out, and may cause injury.
Now, I understand there's not much chance of it "blowing up", but I also understand that steam under pressure and loose parts may not be good.
First, I tried telling my SM, who took off my sticker (do not use) and was using it. She didn't say a word and just kept using it.
Then I tried telling my shift, who's responses were "well we are going to keep using it"
When I asked why, the response was "How do you know? Did you build the machine?"
When I tried to reply, no, because it may lead to damage or injury, I was told "I have stuff to do, im not going to argue with you. Your shift is over, you can go."
Was I being TA in any way?
