my boyfriend is trying to transfer locations but his manager has procrastinated and dragged his feet. would he be eligible for rehire if he put in his 2 weeks and reapplied to another store? (self.starbucksbaristas)

i know he’d lose benefits for sure, but i’ve never been positive about the policy on that. like do you have to wait a certain period of time before you’re eligible again?

He needs to address it with the District Manager if his store manager is dragging his feet. Has he spoken to the SM where he wants to transfer? That new SM may put a fire under the old SM’s ass and get things moving.

The SMs will have a conversation with each other, the DM has to approve it as well. Quitting and trying to get rehired right away would look very bad internally. Definitely mention it to your DM and the new store manager you'd be moving to.
