i've been working at starbucks for around 8 months now and got the raise, making my rate 15.45. for others this may seem great, but in my area everything is so expensive. the weekly tip rate is around .80-1 making it maybe 16 an hour? im working part time avg 15 hours per week. please keep in mind that that the stores around me have a more competitive pay such as 18-20 an hour which makes this job not seem worth it. im a minor so i dont get into the benefits as much. would it be out of place for me to ask for a raise? and if it is okay for me to ask for a raise, how would i approach the situation. thank you guys i appreciate.
