Oof. I had a streak of 8 openers in two weeks. Yeah I told my manager that was basically a no-no since I was making constant mistakes because of how tired I was. I fixed my availability to not be before 9 lol

i honestly could not open lol. i’m very much a night owl. i’m probably getting ready for bed when the openers are getting ready for work. it’s terrible. i don’t mind closing shifts but we are so short staffed so it’s just me for closes with a ssv each night while i’m training a new barista,,,, but my manager hasn’t scheduled anyone to also be a barista while i’m not in the floor, so the ssv is screwed each close bc i’ll be off the floor for a few hours at a time with no one to take over for tasks 🫠

not too bad! i honestly love closing. but i come in at 12:30pm-8:30pm (which i like) BUT the mids don’t do any backups or any cleaning so i usually do mid tasks, preclosing, and closing. plus i’m training a barista for the next two weeks. i love closing but i’m burnt out from doing four peoples jobs 😅

Oooph yeah I regularly close (shift ends at 10:30 or 11) and mids not taking care of business can really kill ya. Good luck with training a new barista tho! That’s exciting even if the burnout is real :’)

oh!! hahaha, no. i actually requested afternoon shifts, i’m more if a night owl. my manager really screwed up though, as i’ll be the closer for the night with my ssv BUT for the next two weeks i’m scheduled as non coverage for training, but he hasn’t brought in any other baristas to do closing or preclosing to make up for the fact that i’m not on the floor 😖 today i’m training my barista, she leaves, and i have one hour before i leave the do all closing tasks lol

i love closing! we are just super short staffed so i’m the only closer and we have to stay late to do the stuff that didn’t get done earlier in the day. the meme is more like “oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ “ as opposed to an angry meme hahaha
