is it possible to pull 1/2 decaf single shot??? or like the drinks that come with 3 shots is it possible to make those 1/2? i thought it wasn’t, so i asked one of my coworkers when i got a 1/2 single, and she said to do it normally like press the 1/2 and pull a shot and that it takes from both. i did and i realized that only the signature esp moves and not the decaf but she said it did and i just didn’t notice or smt

Assuming you have Mastrena IIs you can audibly hear the machine grind both different beans when you pull 1/2 decaf shots, even for a single

On the M2 you can absolutely pull a single half decaf shot, if you press the 1/2 button it’ll pull from both hoppers

For M1 you can’t :,( and so we will pull 2 half calf shots in the shot glass and just pour out half into the drink . It’s not an exact science . We are supposed to get M2’s this month though yay

I've been a partner for 8 months and I didn't know there was a half caf button till maybe a month ago. I had a blah trainer and have been doing it manual this entire time.

I wouldn't blame your trainer! They probably did mention it offhand and you forgot or they forgot to mention it but you should spend some time clicking on the register and askinh questions about it anyway. I do still 2 yrs in and being a trainer and a shift
