I have worked for 4 months and have only called out once, and I have to do it again for the same emergency. Is it ok to call out?? I am not sick but I need to take care of my boyfriend. I come in to work at 6am-2pm shift.

you can absolutely call out i just would say you have a fam emergency you don’t have to explain. use ur sick time if u have any and call off asap

Ok how do I do that, do I contact my SM? Or SSV, also is it ok to text them, I feel really guilty calling them late at night, it’s 9pm

Idk what time it is for you Bc my east coast store is closed but 1, call store if open. 2, if store is not open call SM and leave voicemail and call the store when it does open. 3 I like to give the shift supervisor a courtesy text - “hey it’s (name), I will call the store when it opens and I called (SM), but due to an emergency I won’t be in tomorrow”

i left early and called out a month ago bc my fiancé needed me. take care of u and ur family, that’s why we get sick time 💚

Say it’s a family emergency. Don’t tell them any more. If they ask then tell them you’re not comfortable sharing that information. If they’re mad and retaliate, then bring it straight to the dm.
