Unionizing. (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by mossygreentree13
Please any unionized stores message me. My store is awful. My manager is relatively new, less than a year working for Starbucks and hired in as an SM. Now that’s not really the problem it’s that there’s a lot of unfair labor practices going on such as long scheduled shifts (11+ hours), unfair/unjust terminations, unsafe working conditions and much more. If there are any partners that would please like to get in touch with me and talk to me about how to unionize and how to get other baristas on board, please dm and i’d be MORE than happy to talk. Thank you!

Also please do not comment if you are anti union, i want what’s best for myself and my coworkers while we are at work. I don’t want to argue if you are anti union, i just want relief.

Have you read $1? It’s really comprehensive. The best advice I could give is all already there. But while anyone who wants to unionize their store has my full support, it’s also worth knowing that it normally takes a looong time for a newly formed union to see real benefits. The union can’t just change everything immediately. It sounds like you might also want to research any state or federal labor laws or health regulations that your store may be breaking, which could get you the results you need sooner.
