Split shift pay? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hi fellow partners quick question. I have a shift next week of 5a-9a. My coworker needed her shift covered that same day 5p-9p so I took it. After doing so my manager mentioned something about a premium pay but didn’t know any thing more? I tried to google it but found nothing. Anyone know about it? Thanks!

You get paid an extra hour of pay when you work two shifts in one day that are separated by more than 2 hours(?) in some states.

Might be based on state law so look up your state’s rules on it
