good evening baristas!
25 here, worked at starbucks for 3 years.i quit about 2 years ago because the extremely busy stores i were at were very demanding (drive times) and took a massive toll on my body. now, years later, after being more comfortable in my body, i feel like i could handle working in a cafe store or just a store that’s a bit less busy. i’ve tried a few jobs throughout and years and never found passion in any of them. i have other goals but as a means to an end, i kinda miss starbucks. the experiences there were extremely formative for better or worse.

tldr; worked at starbucks for 3 years, kinda miss it. should i go back?

i don’t think your best bet is with the siren unfortunately. I think any cafe would see your 3 years of experience and would take you rather quickly. If you want to work at a less busy location, then starbucks isn’t the best choice because every location will have its very very busy days. I would just take a stroll through your city and find some local coffee shops or non chained shops. Hell, even some movie theaters need a barista.
I love being a barista but i think the whole experience is shortened working at starbucks, as when do they ever really focus on the actual coffee and not the drinks. If i quit being a barista now I don’t think i’d willingly go back to starbucks. This is just my take !!! I just think starbucks isn’t gonna reignite that spark you want. <3

I just recently came back to starbucks and the best thing that's happened since I've been gone is the starting pay has increased significantly
