TIFU by coming to work 5 minutes early… my store changed their hours with no announcement. (self.starbucksbaristas)

My schedule wasn’t updated or changed, but i’m still scheduled to clock in at 4am… we apparently start at 5am now.
Sleepy brain + schedule saying to come in at 4 + zero announcement = annoyed and alone at a starbucks parking lot at 4 am.
and no i’m not turning back home because i’m not about to wake my dad up with the house alarm.

Had the opposite experience when we started opening half an hour earlier but no one told me and my schedule still said the old time so when I showed up to open everyone was like what the heck happened? Half the people I guess were told to arrive at the new time and the other half of us were…not told.

no bc one of my shifts did this because he thought he opened 😭 he lives like an hour or so away too, got up at 2:30am for nothing

my coworker did this but the store was closed and no one told her 😭 she opened too so she called the opening shift and woke them up asking where they were lmaoo
