We’ve only had it for a week but it’s been good so far! No negative comments that I’ve experienced, and quite a few people tip! It’ll be interesting to see how it affects our checks.

Some of our customers are actually thrilled about it! A few of them told me they’ve been waiting for it because they never have cash on them and want to leave us a tip. We’ve also been getting tips from people who would never have tipped because they feel bad if they don’t. So I’d say it’s a success for our store.

We got ours yesterday, and I've been DTR both yesterday and today during peak. It has definitely slowed things down, and looks like we're definitely getting more tips, but it is the most awkward thing in the world to be standing there and coaching them through this new system. The fact that I'm even having to coach this many people is a problem. The best was one woman who inserted her card, then looked at it with disgust and said "what the hell is this?!" Ma'am. It literally says "Leave a tip?" Just press a button.
