Here’s some tips that hopefully will help since every Starbucks is different:

If you work later on during the day, be ready for the crustomers to be pissy & mad asking “YaLl DOnT hAvE….” If you’re out, you’re out that’s it that’s all.

Also be ready for that 2-3 crustomers possibly buying like 5 or 6 holiday drinks, since the rule for each holiday drink, the persons get that many to them.

Hmmm🤔 Oh one more thing, there will be ppl trying to get like a regular coffee, caramel frapp, or whatever non-holiday drink thinking they can get the cup too. Be ready for those too. It’s either the usual “my store last year blah blah bs” or “what you mean I can’t get X because I got Y” Just have a semi-smile on your face & happily tell ‘em No & explain why. They still pissy, get your lead or SM. They can deal with the bullshit

uh if this helps, last year three partners had mental breakdowns in the back and started bawling their eyes out because of how bad it was

Reminder for Thursday:
We are not to make any drinks in the red cups. They’re free with a fall/holiday drink purchase and are thus given on the side. When they call the store, no, we do not hold items as it’s first-come first-served.

As a personal tip, if they get food, throw the cup/lid(s) into the bag. If not, hand them the cup with the lid upside down on top. It’ll save time from trying to snap it in place and the “dome” keeps it on. They’re also stackable like this.

People go feral, but if your SM staffed appropriately and a plan is made and stuck with it's just really busy day. My SM puts themselves and shifts in the customer facing roles so baristas don't have to deal with customers as directly.
Last year was crazy busy, but over all it went by fairly smoothly.

honestly i’m just thinking about all of the issues that are gonna come with it… customers screaming because they didn’t get a holiday drink and expect a cup, customers mad when we run out, the amount of customers who will be there when i come in at 5am, customers ordering 5+ drinks just because of the cups

No they’re insane. Like they’re insane. I’ve worked in so many CS positions and I’ve never seen people go crazy over these cups like I have that day. Despite the fact you can buy the same cup in white all year long. For like $1.99. It’s insane. I don’t have any other words to tell you how these people act lmao

They only sent us 80! And I don’t start until 10😍😍 I’m so excited to tell people we are out😂😂

My best experience was 2-3 years ago. The LAST red cup was one that had previously fallen out the DT window (peak ya know). And it got ^smooshed.
It was there for a few days too with everyone asking if we had any left 🤣

You poor things. I just assumed they came out when the holiday drinks launched and I missed it. I was surprised I didn't see the design, but being mildly curious it wasn't a big deal. What day am I supposed to avoid Starbucks to escape the madness?

I'm just worried about all the mobiles and if we put the cups out for mobiles people will just steal them
