fellow CA barista here: Starbucks isn’t giving us a huge January raise, but y’all may be thinking of AB 257 which is meant to raise the minimum wage for fast food workers in CA

Damn we make $15 in jersey where not even $22 an hour could pay your bills and I haven't heard anything about a raise

Unless it's been changed in the last year since I quit. Raises happen once a year at the new year and your raise unless again they are doing something special, is typically around 2% of your pay.

One of the reasons I left was because minimum wage was increasing quicker then our raises so because I was a 9+ year partner I was making like $1.50 than a new hire. But new hires were getting .50 cent raised because of minimum wage but my wage was only going up about half of that. By the time I quit, I was only making .16 cents more then a brand new hire. They do not value their partners at all.

I'm in Oregon, and haven't been told anything about a pay raise. We're hiring at $15 at the moment.
