This is cringey. It sounds like you hate them because you think you’re better than them. You put too much energy Into thinking about them and hating them when you could just be indifferent about your interactions and not let it affect you so much. Stop taking it so seriously, they’re just people.

you’re right they are just people and that’s what drives me crazy bc i don’t understand how people can act how they do. literally FIGHTING over stupid little red cups.

I dont understand how you view being nice as craving your validation and attention. While calling others shameless cucks, ugly mannerless pigs, bragging about trying to make strangers feel worthless and insignificant etc. but im not letting it bloat my ego and affect my mental health.

Yeaaa you shouldn’t be a shift. At all. And I know a lot of customers are awful, but others are great. I love my regulars. You really just sound hateful and vindictive

Quit your job. Go work at one of those real coffee shops you are talking about. Is it worth your sanity to serve these people that you hate? It’s only gonna be worse if you become a shift because the super Karen’s will be directed to you. Anything that goes wrong on the shift will be your fault. That shift position would end you. Safe yourself. Get outta here.

i really felt like I wrote this. like damn i’ve never related to something so hard. our customers are just so fucking hateable. i love this job though 😅

RIGHT I LOVE THE JOB, making coffee, chatting with coworkers and SOME customers are cool, but at my store they’re just terrible. we had people FIGHT in the drive thru line on RCD.

It certainly sounds like you shouldn’t be a barista, you sound elitist, rude and condescending. You’d make a terrible shift.

Customers suck, but “even the nice ones” come on.

Just quit a job you obviously hat e

I feel this in my soul of souls. I feel like you are inside my brain.

I was having some violent thoughts because this customer was trying to get a discount because we didn't have the one bag of coffee she wanted. We have 100 other bags. All the coffee tastes like an ash tray, just grab a different bag of beans, for Christ's sake.

I'm just so sick of being nice to these jackasses too. I don't want to talk to them. I would rather be on customer support all shift so I don't have to interact with the asshats that are our customer base.

LOVE BEING CS except we’re HELLA understaffed so we just never have a CS

It’s not that serious. I don’t think you should be working with the public.

if you know of any jobs openings , please let me know

I agree with everyone else who says you probably shouldn't work there anymore then? It's a customer service job, one of the MOST customer based customer service jobs, even retail is usually less involved.

hey i work in a local coffee shop now and i still have my fair share of frustrating customers. i love my job but once i leave work, i leave my work problems there and not take it out on anyone else. i think that’s your issue is that you’re hating way too much and bringing it into your personal life. at the end of the day, it’s just a job and you just have to work.
