Hi I have a question, i know i’m supposed to contact customer service but the baristas have more customer interaction in my opinion. Do starbucks sent me an email saying my birthday coupon is in my account but I checked the app and see nothing. Can I just go to a starbucks and tell show them the email? It’s not reasonable to me because they aren’t just gonna give me the drink without a coupon.

But you can just tell the barista you have a birthday reward before they scan your app and we can check our system and see. If you’re polite, and the barista is proficient at their job, they probably will comp your drink regardless of if they find the reward in there

You can only use your birthday reward on your actual birthday. The best test of whether you have it is to mobile order a drink and see if you have the option to apply the reward on the checkout page. (You don’t have to complete the order.) If today is your birthday but you don’t see the reward, you can go to a store and see if they’ll give you your drink anyway, or contact corporate and wait for them to credit you.
