Still goes on top. “Upside down” only means switching the order of the espresso and milk.

i always do a little tiny bit in the bottom and swirl it with the shots! but i also always always always put it on top too.

The real question is, when they say stirred, do they mean the whole thing with the caramel drizzle? Or just the 3 other ingredients and caramel still sit on top?

I do the top because if it was truly by the “upside down” logic we would pump vanilla at the top last

i just make it like a latte and put the drizzle on top. only reason people get upside down is to blend the milk and coffee for the first couple sips lol . even tho the best part of a macchiato is getting the tiny bit of coffee and sweet milk for the first couple sips, then it combines and makes a really light coffee drink. If we follow the true upside down logic, there’d be vanilla syrup on top of everything. at starbucks it’s the customers are always right,( but they’re very wrong.)
