How to cash out bean stock?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Brooklynbubbles
Been at Starbucks for a little under 2 years, half my stocks are vested. No clue if I would have to be there the 2 years to be fully vested to cash out or if I can cash out the half now. TIA Also maybe I just don’t know how to use the website so if you have tips send em my way

iirc you can call fidelity and they can just set up the sell for you, but i don"t remember how to find the number. I think it's just their customer service line?

There is going to be an option to "Trade" in the menus. When you do that, you choose which account (whichever is the one the vested stocks went into). You will also get an option to choose SBUX when you go into the field for what stocks. When When you go to how many you want to sell, there's an option for it to put all of the ones you have. There will also be an option on that page or the next to have it cash out after the stocks are sold.
Before you do all this, I highly recommend setting up a direct deposit account. That way you can get it sooner and don't have to worry about getting a check in the mail.

Ah I think I figured it out. Thank you so much for your help. I really need to learn more about this process but thank you for taking the time to help

It's no problem! It took me days to figure it out the first time I needed to do it. Fidelity doesn't really have a good way of showing you how to do it.

Also when I click add funds, I clicked the account it shows my total account value at $195 and below it says “ cash available to withdraw $0

Yeah When I go to trade and the chose the account, to the right of it its saying cash available to trade $0.00 and add funds. Its not showing the half vested amount

That's because you are selling the stocks, not buying. You don't have "cash" to trade.

Only half is vested though. So I’m not seeing where I can sell my share

You can cash out now if you want. Whenever it's vested, it's available.
