in all serious though, i wish our management staff had this type of relationship with us. i wish they treated us as human beings, and not as people who exist to make them look bad

That man called you guys slurs and was throwing direct insults, but then he thinks it’s “talking to him like that” when you address him in a rational manner? How entitled and ridiculous. You said the right thing and I’m glad your manager supported you

Hell yeah! Man fuck that guy and I bet that felt so good to tell him to basically shut his ass up

I was honestly nervous i’d get bitched at but I just can’t stand people abusing service employees nor people using that word.
mrcupcake183 points7m ago
Me too but I especially HATE that word. I know sometimes I can’t help it when I hear it and it’s not directed at me or anyone personally but man it makes me cringe. I’m so glad no one in my personal life uses that word at all

Bravo! Anyone abusing staff in any way needs to be kicked out.
Seeing people get kicked out for bad behavior might inspire others to act like decent people.

the lady standing next to him was shaking her head & mouthed sorry to me.

Oh I would have ripped him a new one! I was in that kind of mood on my shift. We also had a busy day and were down some staff due to illness. We did our best and as I was handing off drinks I very loudly said “thank you everyone for your patience we appreciate you” and I think it helped.
