At the point they ask this I tend to turn my screen around to show them. This helps them see A. Why it costs $25 and B. That I got everything in the order because you KNOW they'll go up to bar and be like I ASKED FOR EXTRA CARAMEL DROWNING THE CUP"

am i the only one who doesn’t mind making these kinds of things?? like as long as they’re not being really rude to me about it i could care less what they order. plus it’s not that hard to make a chai even with those modifications, so i’ve never understood why so many people get mad when people order this

It's less about the order itself than it is the whiplash of expecting a moment to catch your breath with an iced chai and instead having another custom item.
Like, I don't mind making custom drinks at all, but you bet your butt that I breathe a little sigh of relief when I hear "Iced Chai," or "Americano" over the DT headset during a rush.
