Need Help Navigating SBUX Stocks via Fidelity(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by bethanyjbrooks3
Hey! Just over two weeks ago, I celebrated my last holiday launch with Starbucks and am now in a new job. I have heard that the stock vesting date for partners is sometime in November every year, and you don't get your first vest until your second November or something like that. I was with Starbucks for 3.5 years, so I am not sure if my stocks have already/will vest one last time this month. I was never explained in very much detail how the selling/withdrawing shares works, as well as when a good time to sell is (besides making sure the market is up). I have my Fidelity account set up and accessible, I just do not understand the process of selling or when I should sell/how long until my stocks aren't accessible after quitting. Further, I believe my official last day in the system was sometime between the 13th and the 18th of this month--Not really sure what date exactly. With that being said, are my stocks getting vested one last time this month? When and how can I sell those stocks? Any info helps. Unfortunately, my former manager does not seem to have this information for me but I am hoping someone will know how to help or where to guide me. Thanks!!

Hello! I am also a former partner and experienced the same issues you are going through! Once you leave the siren you still should have access to your stock and potentially your 401k (if you set one up) through the fidelity website. Through the website it would show all the vesting dates of the stocks given to you. You would have had to create a log in at some point to view your stock or contribute to your 401k. If you never had created a login, I would recommend calling fidelity and they should be able to look you up based on your name, ssn, ect. I personally used the fidelity app to do all of my stock trading, and selling but you can also do it on the website. I also reached out to fidelity over the phone with help with rolling over my 401k into my new jobs retirement plan and they were extremely helpful! Best of luck to you, and hope this helps a little!

Also, your stocks vested one last time on Nov 10 I believe per the weekly update, and it said it would have shown up on your account by Nov 16, so it should definitely be there!

How do you get to statements? I can’t figure the app out at all lol I know nothing about stocks or anything

Okay so I also have a question about this. I’ve been with Starbucks for a year on nov. 17th, but my fidelity shows that I have no stocks at all. My SM said she has no idea why and she’s never seen this happen before and that I should have two. Anyone know what I need to do?

That's pretty much how mine looks, too! But then on my statement, it is showing a good chunk of money sitting for me to sell. It does not make sense bc I can not figure out how/where to access the sitting money.

Because this is the first December you are even eligible to receive bean stock. When you accept the grant in December, half will vest next November.
