This is my last week and not sure if I can do it….advice?? (self.starbucksbaristas)

As the title says, I’m in my last week at the siren. My last official day is Friday and I have a few shifts until then. I’m thinking of just not showing up and being done. I hate being at work, I hate who I am at work, I hate the company, and I get really bad anxiety from being there because I work at a high-incident store.

I know it’s only a few more shifts but I really just don’t want to do it. Obviously the pros of ghosting are that I don’t have to deal with it and can focus on things I do enjoy before I start my new job next week, but the cons are that I’d be being kind of a dick to the team, and I won’t get the money I’d make from the last few shifts. Really torn on what to do

EDIT: thanks for the advice! Decided to text my manager and be honest that I just couldn’t handle it anymore and I wouldn’t be coming in, and apologized. Luckily this is the 2nd store I’ve worked at, and my manager from the 1st store (now not with the company) loved me, so I have references for the future. It’s also probably not the worst thing if I can’t be rehired lol, quitting Starbucks for good feels like finally quitting a horrible habit for good. It’ll force me to move on to better and more fulfilling things for the future

If you have to leave without finishing your last few shifts, then do it. Take care of yourself! But pleeeeeease don’t ghost them. Call the store, text your shift, text your SM, whatever you can do, just let somebody know that you won’t be coming in for the rest of your shifts, and then they can get coverage for you.

Call in sick! Use your sick hours.

If you really feel that bad going in, don’t. I had quit with no warning and everyone was like “dude, not cool” but it was by far better for myself to do that.

Take care of yourself first, but be professional. Not for Starbucks but for your coworkers. Inform your manager that you will not be working your final shifts. Don’t give a reason and don’t answer requests for clarification. You don’t have to. But you really should let them know.

Try to get your shifts covered and just call in sick.
Honestly if you tell them, they’d understand.
