coworkers not using the cc tipping.(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by mangotangoafterdark
we got card tips a few days ago and i’ve noticed that many people are not putting the card reader outside the window, they’re just taking cards as normal and pressing no on the tip option. one of my coworkers was like “yeah i just hit no, there’s tip jars outside” 🤨 it really is pissing me because if you’re too scared to do it then okay but suck it up because thats messing with everyone’s money and it’s not fair. some of my shifts have been reminding people to do it but some of them just don’t listen. has this been happening with anyone else 😅
highestinthestreets308 points7m ago
So many baristas are complaining about cc tipping, which is stupid bc it benefits US!!!
Blocked_ID173 points7m ago
The number of baristas complaining about it adding 10 seconds to their drive times as if that’s even their problem 💀
filmphotographywhore83 points7m ago
Honestly, I like that it adds a mere 10 seconds... Especially it gives my fellow baristas on bar time to catch up during peak.
highestinthestreets55 points7m ago
Like if you don’t want tips just say that 😩
evviiieeee5 points7m ago
…it IS our problem though. we’re the ones that get yelled at for it
Blocked_ID4 points7m ago
Nah, drivetimes still aren’t your problem, your problem is bad management.
evviiieeee2 points7m ago
….and because of that bad management, drive thru times become our problem LOL
absoluteemly56 points7m ago
For REAL! at my store we got $1000+ JUST in cc tips, in 4 days. The few extra seconds of trouble is worth it.
g_pvp_31 points7m ago
how are those distributed to us ? is it turned into cash and added to the count as normal?
Elleven_6 points7m ago
i think it’s included in your paycheck but i could be wrong about that
g_pvp_31 points7m ago
that would be convenient
Deep_Mission_499814 points7m ago
It is really awkward to ask, but it’s also nice to have more money :)
Apprehensive-You52618 points7m ago
Some of us are complaining here not because of drive times but because it’s winter and last weekend it was 11 degrees and to hold the device outside for a bit IS cold.
Chub-boat11 points7m ago
Our heater was broken at my store and I was on drive for 2.5 hours straight on Saturday, went on my ten and got sent back to drive before finally getting switched.
It's kinda my bad for not asking to get moved but since my shift clearly wasn't rotating people I didn't want to make anyone else have to freeze their poor hands.
But I still would rather freeze and all the partners at my store get extra tip money.
iiiimagery-1 points7m ago
I just hate how inefficient is. I'm killer at solo DT and can even help out while I'm doing both when I'm in the groove but I can't multitask like I could before because I have to spent 30 seconds being stuck outside the window
Pylon-Cam-41 points7m ago
Guess it depends…as someone with social anxiety, I don’t want to have to deal with customers who get mad or make rude comments about the tipping screen. I’d rather make a little less and be less stressed.
That being said, I’m incredibly privileged that I don’t need the extra money from cc tips, so I totally understand the perspective of people who are all for it.
Edit: why am I being downvoted? Having to essentially beg for tips from every customer at window is a nightmare for those of us who are introverted or have anxiety.
dankmobile60 points7m ago
probably being downvoted because saying you “don’t need the extra money” shows you’re not thinking about the rest of your partners. other people might rely on increased tips but they’re being denied the opportunity to earn them if you skip the option
[deleted]-39 points7m ago
[removed]
izukuphobic0327 points7m ago
all you gotta do is say “it’ll ask you a question before it accepts payment” you’re being incredibly selfish and privileged to take away a ton of money from other partners who aren’t in the same position. if your anxiety about saying the customer needs to answer the question on the screen is so bad why are you even working in customer service? our store made over $1k in tips in less than a week and it’s gonna be so helpful to so many partners because most of us definitely aren’t rich. not everything is about you.
Animegirl30025 points7m ago
I have anxiety disorder too: but having anxiety isn’t an excuse, especially when it hurts others. The solution is instead of putting it as ‘begging for tips’ just let them know the card reader ‘will give them options’. Most people are actually GLAD to have the option to give digital tips and you don’t have to feel like you’re begging or unconvincing anyone because it’s just a new setting on the card reader. (I hate drive thru too because I get all shakey and high pitched from the adrenaline, but that doesn’t exclude me from doing my job as much as they can accommodate me by reducing my time there.)

jungyihyun38 points7m ago
you’re being downvoted because your views are ridiculously self-centered.
I have extreme social anxiety and I am also neurodivergent. Do I enjoy having to explain the card tipping prompt and the awkwardness that comes with it? No! Do I do it anyways? yes of course!! they can either tip or skip + go on with their day without any issue but if we Don’t Do It that makes it 100% guaranteed that we see no tips. If I did that it is taking (potential) money out of my pocket and everyone I work with, and I don’t want to do that to anyone especially when we all work so hard and deserve to have the opportunity to earn a bit extra. Just because YOU are privileged and don’t “need the extra money” so you don’t give a shit does NOT mean everyone else is. A majority of people working at starbucks live paycheck to paycheck and sometimes that isn’t even enough. you are getting downvoted because it is extremely selfish and you seemingly don’t care about your fellow partners. i don’t want to be too harsh but **please** at least try to have consideration for others who may not be as well off as you are.
Broad-Flounder-49711 points7m ago
I think it’s kinda weird to be mad at your coworker more than the company that underpays you
jungyihyun10 points7m ago
i’m not mad at my coworkers and I do agree with you😭i am just irritated with the person I replied to specifically because they literally said they don’t do something that would benefit them (whether they need it or not) and their coworkers because they themself are privileged
[deleted]1 points7m ago

Pylon-Cam-25 points7m ago
I’d argue that it’s just as self-centered to expect your fellow partners to make their work experience worse and potentially jeopardize their mental health all so that you get slightly more tips. And for the record, I don’t hit “no tip” before handing it to customers…I just want to.
I think there’s a solution that everyone can live with though — instead of having everyone split their time evenly among positions, give window primarily to people who like the position. Everyone will have to work it at some point or another in their time at SB, but it would be more manageable for the people with anxiety if they don’t have to do it as often.
ElijahLordoftheWoods19 points7m ago
The solution is you should go to therapy and work on your social anxiety.
KableKyle15 points7m ago
“Just wanting to” is worse than not even asking. Also you keep leaning on anxiety like you’re the only person who has it. Also, the way you’d like things to work, doesn’t work. You have to take into account who needs a 10, a half, whose been on bar for too long, who needs to switch. I can DTO&R but I can’t do it for 6 hours straight. The only person who can make a change is you. If you see it, even if it doesn’t affect you personally, say something. If you don’t say anything then nothing gets done.
CS38837 points7m ago
Maybe you need to find a different job then if something as simple as handing the CC swiper outside the window is going to jeopardize your mental health. Or go to therapy for anxiety
iiiimagery1 points7m ago
So you work in customer service and complain when you have to work in customer service ?
honeybeebi30 points7m ago
you may not need the extra money, but other partners do. if you’re uncomfortable, communicate to your shifts to see if you’re able to be taken off of window, but please don’t deny other partners’ opportunities for tips.
Pylon-Cam-16 points7m ago
That’s a good point — I don’t hit “no tip” before handing it to customers, but I absolutely understand the urge to. My main point was just that some of the baristas on here should cut those baristas who do a *tiny* bit of slack, since they’re almost certainly doing it for mental health and they aren’t intentionally hurting their coworkers.
I agree with you 100% that they shouldn’t be doing it and that they should work to find other solutions that work for them.
ElijahLordoftheWoods26 points7m ago
This would be fine if you weren’t negatively impacting EVERYONE in your store. Im an autistic person with anxiety, I speak from experience, you need to be in therapy working thru this. It’s not healthy to just run from all your triggers your whole life. You don’t have to confront them all at once, but you can’t just not confront any of them ever. You have 20 free therapy sessions a year thru bux, use them. Promise you it’ll make your life better.
_coca_cola_cherry_18 points7m ago
As someone who also has really severe social anxiety I just suck it up, hand them the card reader, and say, "The card reader is just gonna ask you a quick question."
chinfox17 points7m ago
literally get a different job. you work in customer service, customer service will continue being expected of you at this job
radpandaparty10 points7m ago
You can literally just hand it to them and let them put whatever. It isn't like you are personally asking everyone how much they will tip
RegularFrappuccino9 points7m ago
How are you begging for tips. The customer is the one making the decision
[deleted]1 points7m ago
[deleted]
selkieflying-2 points7m ago
Hey I’m autistic and have anxiety as well and luckily we don’t have a DT but if we DID I know I’d be too scared to ask as well. Hugs.
lilmissambersue241 points7m ago
Duuuuuude. Not cool. We get so many cc tips! Almost every person at the dt tips!
I_Main_Oru11 points7m ago
I hope my store never gets it honestly because whenever I work I get put on dt solo for 3 hours straight and the customers always hate me anyway I can only imagine how embarrassing it'll be when I have to ask if they want to add a tip 😭
uncomfortableaf00820 points7m ago
You don’t need to ask though it’s just like at any other place where the customer does it themself and they choose if they want to tip or not hence why you hold the card reader out the window. Us unionized stores would absolutely love to be included in the extra money from cc tips but corporate kinda hates us so probably not gonna happen till they get their shit together and give us our contracts :,(
lilmissambersue15 points7m ago
They don't hate you. They hate themselves! Fuck all of them. Get all the money you can outta these bitches hahaha. Also, don't ask. Don't even say the word tip. Just say "it's going to ask you a quick question first" We are the only coffee place that didn't have tips. Anywhere else you go there's a tip prompt button. People aren't shocked or pissed. Tipping is a normal thing.
besoinducafe8 points7m ago
Please let go of this fear bestie 💕 it isn’t our fault but tips really help us out. We need this since corporations won’t just pay us enough to be comfortable
dnims2486 points7m ago
I don’t think I’ve gotten this at my store yet but yeah I’d be furious too if I were in your shoes OP. Those partners not doing it should be taken off window for a while
Pylon-Cam52 points7m ago
Being taken off window would be a reward for me tbh
TarantulaTeeth1316 points7m ago
So ask your shift to not put you on window all the time? I know not every shift is the best but I ask my baristas how often thevye been at stations all week and give them a break from their usual or if a barista comes to me and asks to not be in window, I try to get them out of there or put them some where else to begin with. Your SSV won't know until you ask.
MasterMischievous16 points7m ago
Problem is a lot of baristas suck at their job, and when they’re incapable of doing anything other than window….. well it’s window or go home
Apprehensive-You526110 points7m ago
Damn this is true though. We have a few partners that literally only do warming or window. I suck at window because I have dyscalculia and dyslexia and having to hand out cash is my personal demon lol. We have two new sorta partners that one is fantastic she’s really adapted well but the other one I was having to take all his DT orders because he can’t seem to DTO/window I’ve never seen him on drinks so I think my SSV just doesn’t trust him there and tbh I don’t blame her. He’s been doing a lot of cleaning/CS stuff
chicken-tiddies6 points7m ago
I know how to work all positions. Even if I get moved off halfway through my shift, I'm always drive. I've been drive for 2 solid weeks. I keep asking to be literally anywhere else, I'll clean bathrooms, cs, warming. Please no more drive. I'm on drive.
Blocked_ID66 points7m ago
I’m not usually pro-write up, but if they continue to not listen to coaching and it’s messing with your paycheck, I would mention it to your manager?
Hot-Independence867041 points7m ago
no seriously i would be fuming if i had to deal with this. messing with EVERYONES paychecks
Such_Yellow_333224 points7m ago
Literally. You can get an easy $1-2 an hour now just by handing it out lol so many people tip just because and only if they have cards. I think my store is gonna see about $2.5-4 and hour for cc tipping… prior when we just had cash tips we hovered around 89 cents…. HAND OUT THE POS PEOPLE ITS EASY MONEY 👹🫶🏻👹🫶🏻👹🫶🏻
PartyAnything340861 points7m ago
i just say “it’s gonna ask if you wanna leave a tip. If not, you totally don’t have to, im just not allowed to answer for you”
haifonly49 points7m ago
As a customer I'd be pissed. I hardly carry cash and I feel like an asshole if I don't have enough time to order ahead and can't tip. Y'all do the lord's work and should be appreciated appropriately.
swollemolle22 points7m ago
I heard some of my coworkers say “we got a new card reader, so it may ask you a question.”
My line goes “your total is $xyz. Please follow the prompts on the screen” as I hand them the card reader. Almost EVERYONE tips.
chicken-tiddies7 points7m ago
I use the question prompt too. People in my area are still pretty nice and almost everyone tips the $2 option at minimum
I said that on reg and a lady tipped $10 and all she got was the via instant stuff. Very sweet. Gold stars across the board for her.
I think as long as you're telling them to read the screen, you're good 😊
clouds18322 points7m ago
have they not done the training yet? if they haven’t they may not know. that happened the first few days we got it before we did the training.
mangotangoafterdark [OP]4 points7m ago
modules don’t really get done at my store until they’re months overdue
ithinkimanpc19 points7m ago
the sameee thing happened at my store and when i noticed my coworker doing this, i made it a point that i noticed her doing that n she finally stopped. but after being on window for a few hours during peak and hitting “no thank you” 100+ times…. u do the math😒
[deleted]18 points7m ago
Well, we aren't supposed to touch the screen even to bypass it. My line goes "alrighty, $xx.xx today! It'll ask you a question, but theres a no thank you option down at the corner."
lewabwee10 points7m ago
The only button you’re allowed to hit is “no tip.” You’re not allowed to hit anything else even if they ask you.
Not to suggest that that should ever be your first resort (or that these baristas should be allowed to bypass tips every time) but to be clear you are allowed to hit no tip in order to push the order through if it comes down to it. It’s only theft if you charge them.
[deleted]2 points7m ago
Thank you!!
friendlySkeletor17 points7m ago
I don't like being a snitch but I'd be calling this out immediately. Its fucking everyone else over to ostensibly make their lives slightly earlier and improve drive times. The extra money is genuinely gonna improve a lot of our lives.
wooohooohoooe12 points7m ago
It’s not being a snitch. Say something. We’re not forcing them to tip but they should know that they have an option. I personally am not a big tipper unless we’re at a restaurant, or being served you know? Or an establishment hit it out of the park.
so when a self serve ice cream shop asks me for example to tip I have no problem pressing no. Same here.
If you’re a supervisor I’d coach on it. The worst they’ll do is say no. :p
franglaisedbeignet15 points7m ago
Why can’t you say, hey there is an extra step on the card reader, just pass it back when you are finished thank you!! You don’t need to feel pressure to prompt them to tip or not tip. People skipping that step on drive through need proper coaching. It benefits everyone. Yes it becomes part of our taxable income but we are getting paid more! In our cafe store, we normally earn jack shit for tips. Like an average might be 10 or 11 dollars per week. That’s depressing. I’ve heard so many people say this is wonderful and long overdue!!!
cindysdku8 points7m ago
I always hand out the card thingy to them and tell them to “ answer a quick question “ and almost always get a tip ^-^ sooo yeah I would tell them to no do that 🙎♀️
desi_luwu8 points7m ago
Is this a new thing? My store never had CC tipping unless it was mobile order only
heyitsmaria2412 points7m ago
Yes, if you’re at a corporate store in the US, there was training for it. Should have been talked about during the holiday meeting as well.
RegularFrappuccino6 points7m ago
On TikTok they’re acting like this behavior is ok. They’re literally stealing tips from you. Talk to your sm this needs to stop
dekuflowers6 points7m ago
Our card reader in drive thru has been broken for three days even after we’ve had a technician come by to fix it three times. It sucks because we have to run the card inside to our second register and cash them out there which means no credit card tips. :( the first week we had cc tips, we got GREAT tips. Not this week 😭
Danny_z646 points7m ago
Fight them
chicken-tiddies3 points7m ago
"take your apron off and come to the back with me, okay?"
Danny_z641 points7m ago
Not even lmao
Demonic_Witch6666 points7m ago
I just say it's gonna ask for a tip. Or would you like to tip our cars reader just got a update letting digital tips. Some are confused but eh
quinysmith5 points7m ago
let them know that our stores cc tips is adding $400 to each of our paychecks.
sosaidsmudge5 points7m ago
In four days our store made 1500$ in credit card tips alone so those partners are dumb
vannishin5 points7m ago
i love that they added that feature. i always want to tip my baristas but sometimes you just don’t have cash. pleaaase let me tip you !
computernoobe4 points7m ago
If they're too lazy to do something so simple, they shouldn't get a share of the credit card tips. Simple as that. If you don't want to pitch in with the team, you don't deserve the benefits when everyone else is doing the work.
mangotangoafterdark [OP]3 points7m ago
for real:( i’m busting my ass on bar because nobody else can do it and i’m never on drive which i would love, i love drive through and it’s not fair that i’m not getting that money that i am working hard for that we would get if i was on drive through just because they can’t do bar
Dannidalion4 points7m ago
I've been putting it outside and get like 4x the amount of tips now!! People do a lot of 2 dollars surprisingly. Make sure to push it! Tell them if they're too busy entering an order to just hand the customer the reader, or they can tell the other customer to hold on a sec Tips are important 💕
AuntieRia11284 points7m ago
I’m pretty sure the training about it said we are not allowed to choose either “yes” or “no” for the customer. They could probably get in trouble if this is the case.
foxfenelle2 points7m ago
Yeah this.... I didn't do the training since it's separate from my learning but they could get in big trouble for this behavior
OliveGardenDumpster4 points7m ago
Lmao we have 5 people yell at us bout having tipping now which is interesting
stephybear33 points7m ago
Some of my coworkers do it to keep the time down, but I don't, and I noticed many more really will tip than normal
MasterMischievous3 points7m ago
Those people really outta be written up and let go if they can’t get with the program, they’re literally directly affecting your guys’ paychecks.
Disclaimer: I would understand if it was like a 2 floor during a rush and you just need to get the drive times below 12 minutes XD. But other than that completely inappropriate to not be handing the thing out.
Only_Lunch_60202 points7m ago
that’s crazy. not only is it a part of their job so they need to suck it up, but they’re now directly responsible for taking away tips from other partners… my store got an extra $5/hr in credit card tips alone last week. that’s too much money for them to be selfish over
sushibroni2 points7m ago
HAPPENS AT MY STORE TOO 😭 yes its awkward but the money is so worth it
jeremeny2 points7m ago
Report them. That’s so not okay. It’s basically stealing money from your paycheck. It’s also technically considered fraud for us to select an option on the screen bc the customer has to be the one to press no.
Specialist_Salt_5072 points7m ago
Our cc tips are double or more than what we get in cash
PastBanana43712 points7m ago
The thing is that on the training it said that by no meaning you should be taking people’s cards anymore because you could easily process a tip by accident and you could get in big trouble to the point your DM would have to be contacted
cherrythot2 points7m ago
We aren’t allowed to take customers cards at our store at all. They have to take the card reader and do it themselves. I just say “there’s a question for you on there before you insert your card”
bigheftyhooker2 points7m ago
I notice if you just hand them the whole thing (we have the verifone machine and it has a long wire) and then step away for privacy (take next order or pretend to do something on the screen) then it’s pretty painless. Try suggesting that to your partners!
andysorrel2 points7m ago
Former barista here! I freaking wish we had cc tipping when I worked there. I got tea on my way to work the other day and I was so excited when they handed me the reader to tip. As a person who rarely has cash on them, it’s a huge benefit, I can’t imagine why someone would not want to use it?? It’s literally “free” money at that point
MarieCrepes2 points7m ago
My store wrote on the POS screen 'DONT TAKE CARDS HAND THEM OUT' and it's been a pretty good reminder. Maybe see if your SM can try reminding people about this?
Kaluskydrak2 points7m ago
You’re not alone, a partner at my store said “it’s asking if you want to tip, I don’t know why we’re pushing you so hard for money, this place is already expensive” I was just in awe🤯
jeremeny2 points7m ago
Literally just say “it’s gonna ask you a prompt on the screen”
Kaluskydrak1 points7m ago
That’s what I say 😭🤷🏼♂️
jeonzelink2 points7m ago
You’d be making like $10-$20 an hour with digital tips instead of $1-$3 an hour with cash tips. Why is your partner bugging about that ..
BabyH1ppo2 points7m ago
We get so many CC tips. Also if a customer disputes a charge on their card and the barista presses the tip buttons (on accident or on purpose) they could face serious consequences. I encourage all of you to convince your partners to hand out the new CC thingy. For their own protection
fregretcha2 points7m ago
Honestly, they probably feel awkward about it. Run through and roleplay scenarios and how they can say their new lines. They just have to change it up. People hate that shit. Once they see how much extra they make, they’ll do it lol
Snowbunny_022 points7m ago
You could always remind them yourself 🤷🏼♀️ what’s the harm in a friendly reminder? Yeah maybe you’re not a shift but they certainly might respect you more and change their ways.
mangotangoafterdark [OP]1 points7m ago
i have
beaudebonair2 points7m ago
You just got to remind yourself it's just as awkward for you having to ask them for tip, as is for them to be put on the spot and be asked for a tip. I mean since the pandemic hit EVERYONE is all up and trying to get in the tipping game, even some fast food chains! Just take advantage of the customer's awkwardness, and eyes on the prize, gain the upper hand lol!
I have seen at some fast food places, as of late, have tills that require the person to ask for a tip after collecting a payment from the drive-thru to complete the transaction. (Kinda awkward when their POS freezes and you're the customer opting to say no for tipping the processed 2 tacos they warm up I ordered in a drive-thru lol).
chicken-tiddies0 points7m ago
Some fast food places always accepted tips, but bc the staff wouldn't claim all the tips they made, or they added cc tipping, the system is making up for it.
Not that I think that's the way it should be, but it'd be like an 11hr shift and the employees claim like $6 in tips.
beaudebonair0 points7m ago
I just think once we start tipping fast food employees, why stop there and go ahead and tip your local grocer bagging your groceries too, or tipping your customer service rep on the phone when your bank account has a fee and you need "help" with that?
It's a pet peeve of mine, the forceful obligation placed on a person, on the spot and most of us do not want to look like we are broke in public (well maybe there is 10% that don't care and the other 90% feel the spotlight). I've tipped sometimes so I don't look poor in front of a date.
That's not a great reason to tip either for me, it's status seeking totally and showing off, but I feel good behavior DESERVES rewards. If you make me laugh at the dinner table, been totally nice, and smiled serving my food, ooooh you getting a GOOD tip, especially if my date is going great and the waiter/waitress adds to it, so helps. If you're rude and rush me out, I may forget to fill out the Tip portion cause I was rushed out lol. That's me at least and no way to change that.
Former banker here myself, and we sure as heck don't get tips or even as much as a "thank you" for saving some people from themselves. Now when I was working at Starbucks, it was nice almost guaranteed at least $15 a week on tips for 2 packs of cigarettes at the time lol.
chicken-tiddies1 points7m ago
My bank doesn't allow me to tip them, but I try to bring in goodies at least once a month. Like an order from our local bakery or 11 pairs of fuzzy socks for everyone in our tiny branch.
I tip everywhere I go. I always have. Groceries, gas stations, restaurants, fast food, the local lumber store. If you can't afford, or don't want to, that's on you, not everyone else.
As I've said, lots of fast food places have always had tipping. If you're not okay with tipping them, then don't. But don't do this whole "if we tip the lowly fast food employees, then I'll be expected to tip everywhere I go!" It's not expected. It is nice though.
beaudebonair0 points7m ago
Don't use quotations when you are putting words in my mouth, now you are just flat-out being a liar. Cause I never called fast food workers, lowly, you did that. You are just taking it personally now, and on the defense, so I'm walking away, you can't have a conversation. Ciao!
Own_Distribution_9401 points7m ago
Why are so many against the cc tipping option? Like??? If someone feels awkward about it, just say “ the card reader is going to ask your response on the screen”, that way you don’t look like you personally are asking for tips. Plus any other business has the option without questions asked. That would blow my mind if I saw a partner pressing no thank you all of the time. Since we’ve had there were only two regulars upset about it. Told them it was corporate and have a good day. The amount of customers that were like “finally it’s about time I can tip from my card!” were so many.
I just can’t wrap my head around why baristas think it’s awful, and honestly I don’t want to understand it haha.
sag6061 points7m ago
when i worked at my store, some customers would actually complain or comment on how we didn’t have cc tipping so the negative reaction towards it is strange bc i thought it would be welcomed with open arms
Hispanicman1011 points7m ago
The training said that we shouldn’t be doing that!
strangechatter1 points7m ago
During peak I’ll do this because we get screamed at for window times
Chemical_Currency_151 points7m ago
I got 60 bucks from 2 days of CC tips. Don't skip it. It's so worth it. It's literally free money.
Fitz_1161 points7m ago
The training for the tipping literally says if you’re caught grabbing cards and clicking no tip yourself, they can fire you😭😭
PotatoFairy4511 points7m ago
Just say "the reader is going to ask you a question real fast if you could go ahead and answer"
besoinducafe1 points7m ago
This is literally against standard. We are NOT allowed to do this, honestly. The new standard is to hand the machine out the window, period 😑
NyanBecca1 points7m ago
It’s so easy to be like “hey there’s an extra step for you today” you don’t even need to mention the tips like
toapoet1 points7m ago
I’m still getting used to it. I do it for a majority of the customers but they seem particularly annoyed I just hit No. I’ll have to stop that soon though
[deleted]1 points7m ago

Lil-Snow-Dragon1 points7m ago
Our store doesn't let us put it out but even if we didn't get cc tips our tips would be like they always were
frenchsilkywilky1 points7m ago
lol for the first two days i did the same thing and didn’t mention it to customers, watching more experienced partners do it really helped me get more confident with the “it’s gonna ask you a question real quick”. don’t know why but it freaked me out to ask people right away
mama_bibi1 points7m ago
People are stupid
Mhill08231 points7m ago
