We have 9 at our store (3 morning, 3 mid, 3 closers). There is definitely a better shift for each part of the day.

My store has 7 supervisors which is too much for our store so some of them work mostly barista shifts.

We have 6- 2 opening, 2-mid, and 2 closing. We’re a super high volume store (second busiest in our district located in Los Angeles 😩)

My store, a cafe, has 1 FT opener and 1 FT closer, and then four PT filler shifts (that typically aren’t always shifts when they work).

Im at a cafe store. We have 5 SSVs. One opens 5 days a week (weekdays only). Theres 2 of em that are mids or closers during the weekdays but alternate with opening one weekend day. Another one is specifically a closer. Then the 5th one is like never there. She has at least 1 day a week (more often a few days a week) that she has requested off. I cannot remember the last time i saw a work week without her having any requested days off
