I walked into a Starbucks today (not my store) to pick up one latte and the baristas were all so stressed looking. Turns out there was a woman there picking up a TWENTY-NINE DRINK ORDER in front of me. Wish I could’ve hopped behind the counter to help. If anyone at that store sees this y’all deserve a promotion. There should be a maximum number of drinks to order—and all the ones I saw were venti!! Must’ve been a $300 order jfc. Pour one out for this store.

Bruh fr. Used to work at a cafe store in a skyscraper with a bunch of business people on the upper floors and they’d periodically send down an intern around 2-3pm with a 15 or so drink order (all specialized cappuccinos and skinny lattes of course 🙄) and make us write out the orders on the cups instead of using stickers, write individual names on the cups, then get annoyed when it would take forever because we would be working on a three floor at that point in the day. Then they’d NEVER tip.

Now that we have the system in place for electronic tips we really need to have an automatic gratuity for large orders.

My store did a 30 drink delivery order during a 3 partner play the other day. Each of the 30 drinks called for 10 honey packets. My team and I almost died. Homies, if you’re out there reading this thank you for powering through that

I was solo bar one day because it was me, one other barista, and my shift. It was really busy because of a sports game nearby & I got hit with a 35 drink, 20 (warmed) food item order for mobile…and then of course all other mobiles, cafe and drive were all 4+ drinks minimum. I couldn’t even get help because our solo drive person was new and wasn’t trained on bar yet, and the shift was slammed with food & front. Our SM nor DM wouldn’t answer the phone, we had to end up calling another store’s SM to get some gelp

I wasn’t working but came in and my store had 30 drink and 15 food items (not counting like cake pops and cookies danishes(they had some these too but 15 where breakfast sandwiches Uber eats order that had be done by 8am. NEVER GOT PICK UP we waited till about 2 to throw all that hard work down drain.

If this was the store I worked at today… then no she didn’t haha. I swear cafe was chill, drive was busy but nothing crazy, then this lady walks in and has two pages of orders… 13pt times new Roman font. All of a sudden, cafe gets packed. People wanting to order a latte or a grande pike with cream. It’s only me on front, and we had a 6person play at that point so no one else could help me take orders. Then she’s like I’m so sorry these drinks are all super crazy🤪. Like wow 😭
