There most Def was a skinny vanilla latte and a skinny caramel macciato until the last year I think. They got rid of the buttons on an update... so i understand why ppl still order it. Stay cool!
canidieyet_ 7 points 7m ago
yeah this is the only one that doesn’t bother me since they were on the menu at one point
Best_Strain3133 7 points 7m ago
Yea, im still low key salty they deleted the buttons.

i think it’s worse when someone orders “a extra hot non fat light foam no whip with sugar free vanilla”

“okay and what was the drink?”

“a latte”

i hate how i very vividly heard this in my mind in a shitty talkbox headset voice

Skinny vanilla latte was a drink on the menu for well over 15 years. It recently changed because whiny customers cried “you’re promoting diet culture” or some bs. Just ring it up and move on to the next customer.

I’d much rather customers say skinny vanilla latte all day long instead of “large white chocolate mocha with 8 pumps white mocha and four pumps raspberry and three brown sugar with extra caramel and cold foam and made with all vanilla sweet cream. Oh and put strawberry purée in the foam and top it with Java chips and matcha”

same!!! skinny vanilla latte is way better than some complicated 50 step drink

Reading this order hurt my soul because it felt personal.

I’m deeply sorry, I know you weren’t expecting to be so brutally attacked today.

tik tok drinks r annoying but it’s literally not a big deal to have someone order a skinny vanilla latte
bjorksbutthole 17 points 7m ago
I get what you’re saying but a lot of regular everyday people aren’t in the loop like we are. I’m sure many people have come for years and gotten used to the word “skinny vanilla latte” (that’s what it was until relatively recently) and vanilla chai. I mean personally I don’t give it much thought, I just put it in the system correctly and go about my day. I feel like there is no use in getting upset abt as long as you understand what they’re trying to order. But I agree when it comes to stupid tiktok drinks that aren’t even on the menu. THAT’S annoying

I mean… skinny vanilla latte/skinny caramel macchiato both had buttons on the POS until sometime last year so I understand why customers still order it that way. As for vanilla chai…that’s pretty obvious what they’re asking for, is it not? It may not be the “correct” way of ordering but it’s not confusing either—unless you’re new I guess.

I would understand the frustration more if it were “I ordered a venti iced latte but I didn’t say venti or iced” situation lol

i get what you’re saying but the examples you used aren’t that confusing and nothing to get mad over

I'm gonna get down voted into oblivion for this take, but this kinda attitude absolutely sucks.

As an ex barista, my job was to help customers with their order experience. Was it annoying sometimes? Absolutely. Did i wish people knew the correct way to order. All the time. But at the end of the day, you're technically in the service industry. And one of those services you're supposed to provide is helping with/interpreting someone orders who might not have it perfect. Now if we're talking about someone who is rude and isn't listening to you while you try to get what they want, that a while other thing. But it's just wrong to expect everyone to know EXACTLY what they want and how to order it.

You're going to get so burnt out so fast if this is all it takes to frustrate you :/

Some baristas *really* don’t do any favors for the stereotypes, man.

Stop bein a wimp

I hate the skinny vanilla latte people. Mostly because they don't even know what they're ordering. I've had several people order a skinny vanilla latte, and what they want is regular vanilla nonfat milk, not sf syrup
