Oh today between 6 and 8, we got a 7 drink mobile order and most of it was green tea lemomades but some were espresso based drinks. But we had a regular come in around the same time. He always places his mobile order for his 2 coffees and walks in less than 30 seconds after. Hes one of our goofy cool and nice customers but that 1 thing he does i cannot stand. Sometimes the person on register will grab it for him right away if theyre not busy and theyll ask me to throw his tickets out for his 2 coffees when i get to it but sometimes he has to wait if i didn't get to his sticker yet. Anyway he walked in today as he was placing it on the app. We werent too slammed but we had a steady flow of mobile orders
Well my coworker on register said "(his name) u could have placed it at the register. But he laughs or whatever and then says "it just went thru" and i pulled the next ticket i saw and it was the 7 drink order i mentioned in the first paragraph lol so i said "well it looks like u have 7 drinks ahead of urs" and i showed him (were a cafe store) that we have one printer for mobiles/deliveries and another printer for in store orders so i showed h how it can get stuck behind a huge order or a bunch of single drink orders and he said "ohhh i see now" and so hopefully he finally stops doing it cuz he always comes during the morning rush so idk what his thought process has been this whole time when he does that

🤦🏻♀️ please understand that a lot of people will wake up around 1 or 2 am to start cooking. The same thing will happen around Christmas and the new year. Don’t shame customers for having a different sleep schedule or accommodating their extended family for dinner. Don’t work on holidays if you cannot handle the non-regular customers

I completely understand people need caffeine in the early morning, no shame. I'm put off by the 15 pumps of sweetener in five drinks.
Personally, if the volume of sugar is greater than the volume of the espresso shots, I feel sick.

🤦🏻♀️ you are not the one drinking it. Why do you care? You are making it for someone else. I agree this much syrup in one drink is not healthy or tasty, but I’m not drinking it.
I order large amounts of syrup if I plan on adding the syrup and espresso to brewed coffee. 🤦🏻♀️ no one gets grossed out when someone orders a red eye with syrup. 🤦🏻♀️ maybe they don’t know they have the option to do order the espresso and syrup. What if they drink a lot of sweet drinks and their tastebuds are accustomed to sweet things? What if their usual store only uses half pumps because of low quality training or it being a licensed store?
I’m not hating on you, but I do want to point out that shaming customers is silly when the company wouldn’t exist without customers. No business can survive without customers.

I think you misunderstood the context of why I posted. This isn't shaming, it's just out of the ordinary and something people might find wild.
Shaming would imply that I don't want customers to order syrup-y drinks. The opposite, I take pride in making my customers drinks, exactly as they ordered.
It's eye catching when the ticket is a paragraph or has double digit ingredients.

me when someone freaked out because no sweetener that comes in the strawberry acai... they thought it was bitter.
it's the reason that i no longer believe in universal healthcare... b/c the avg sugar consumption of adults in the country is reckless and out of pocket.
